While you are driving it is okay to look in your rear view mirror to see where you came from and to see what is coming up from your rear side. However, it is not a good idea to continue to drive while looking at what is behind you for long periods of time. If you do a disaster is not far up a head. When it comes to relationships think of your past failed attempts as if they are in your rear view mirror. It’s okay to glance back occasionally and to learn and see where you came from, but don’t dwell on them. You can not move forward if you are living in the past. Look towards what is in front on you. You can not change the past, you can only learn from it. I conclude with a quote I found from marshallmcluhan.com that I thought was fitting.

To most of us the words “I love you” is a saying we tell each other to those we care about. We have grown up with this saying and most of the time we just say it just to say it. When it comes to relationships I feel this saying is prematurity used as well as taken lightly.
Men will be reluctant to say these words, while women long to hear them. I have seen in many past relationships women are the first to initiate this saying. Why is this? While I don’t have a scientific answer I do know all humans beings have a need for love and it makes us feel good when we hear it. I want to educate you though and tell you Love is not just a word we say – love is a verb. Meaning anybody can say it, but your actions will prove it. In any budding relationship I coach men not to use these words lightly or to feel pressured into saying this saying. On the flip side I tell women “a man will tell you anything, he actions will prove if he really loves you.” When is the right time to say these words? That is up to you to decide, but only say them when you are ready and when you really mean it, it will have more of an impact because your actions will prove it.
Women are attracted to men who have a purpose in life. When talking to women you must always indicate that you are busy and that you always have something going on. If a girl ask you what you are doing tonight always say something interesting or for that matter make it sound interesting. If you have to work, say “I’m working on finishing up this project I have been on for the last 3 months.” More than likely she is going to be intrigued with what you are doing and will ask you more questions. You don’t have to lie just make it sound like you take pride in what you do. If you don’t have anything planned, make it seem like you do. Watching a sporting event is a plan. You never want to answer with “I don’t have any plans” this will make you unappealing. This can apply to women you just met or a girl that you have yet to ask out.
What is one thing people always say if you are scared of heights? “Don’t look down!” This is also true when talking to women espcially if you have a fear of taking to them. Confidence is displayed in the way you handle yourself.
One thing you never want to do is look down at the ground when talking to women. Eye contact is very important if you can’t look her in the eyes, try to concentrate on her lips.

As a kid I remembering my music teacher in school always playing this particular song. The hit song was “Don’t worry be happy” by Bobby Mcferrin. While this song has comical lyrics the underlying message is so true that we can apply to any situation in our life.
Important note: You must be happy about yourself and accept yourself for who you are. If you don’t appreciate who you are and are disappointed in yourself, how do you expect to attract anyone or a girl to appreciate you? Bettering your life is a major key to being happy about who you are. Bettering your life is about changing the old habits that are not working and concentrating on improving your life overall. If you are happy with yourself and who you are, women will feel comfortable around you.
